Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and currently have active disease.
- You have tried at least one treatment for your lupus that did not work well enough.
- If you can become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control from 28 days before the study starts until 48 weeks after the last dose, and you are not breastfeeding.
- You do not have serious health problems like uncontrolled heart or lung disease, or a history of organ transplant.
- You have not had certain treatments (like IVIG, high-dose steroids, or a live vaccine) in the past 2 months.
