Engasertib for frequent nosebleeds from HHT

Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia

This trial tests an experimental pill, engasertib, to reduce frequent nosebleeds in adults with a rare blood vessel condition called hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). Participation may help if you have moderate to severe nosebleeds and need iron or blood transfusions.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a confirmed HHT diagnosis (based on Curaçao criteria).
  • You have frequent nosebleeds that last several minutes (screening score > 4).
  • You have anemia, or have gotten iron through an IV or a blood transfusion in the last 6 months.
  • No nasal cautery or surgery in the past 6 weeks, no certain blood vessel drugs like bevacizumab or thalidomide in the past 6 weeks, and no unstable tranexamic acid dose.
  • No significant heart rhythm problems or uncontrolled skin conditions.
