Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You have symptoms related to wheat, like stomach pain or bloating, or you have been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome or functional dyspepsia, or you have celiac disease.
- For wheat-sensitive patients: you tested negative for celiac disease and wheat allergy, and your symptoms improved on a wheat-free diet then returned when you ate wheat again.
- You have had an ultrasound of your liver done before starting any diet changes.
- You do not drink a lot of alcohol, do not have viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, or other liver conditions, and you are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You have not taken steroid or anti-inflammatory drugs within 2 weeks before a biopsy, and you have had follow-up for at least a year.
