Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body.
- You have had hormone therapy (like orchiectomy or drugs to lower testosterone) and your testosterone level is very low.
- You are eligible to receive a standard prostate cancer vaccine treatment called Sipuleucel-T.
- You are at least 18 years old and are feeling reasonably well (able to do daily activities).
- Your PSA level (a blood test for prostate cancer) is 200 ng/mL or lower.
- You have not had certain previous treatments, like immunotherapy or systemic radiation for prostate cancer, in the last 6 months.
- You have not received the vaccine Sipuleucel-T before.
