Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and nerve pain in the hands or feet
  • Aged 35 to 75 years old
  • Blood sugar levels within a moderate range (HbA1c between 6.5% and 9.0%)
  • Willing to stop certain medications and take the study herbs for 4 weeks
  • Not taking other investigational drugs or certain other medications before the study
  • Other health conditions like cancer, stroke, or severe heart, liver, or kidney disease are disqualifying
  • Must be right-handed to participate in the healthy volunteer group (if applicable)
  • Willing to follow study rules, including diet, exercise, and blood sugar checks
  • We are also looking for healthy volunteers aged 18-55 to compare results.
