  • Men aged 30 to 60 years old
  • Have type 2 diabetes with an HbA1c (average blood sugar) between 7.0% and 10.0%
  • Taking metformin (1500 mg or more daily) for at least 8 weeks
  • Have fatty liver disease, confirmed by a special liver scan (CAP value of 248 or higher)
  • Have not used certain diabetes drugs (SGLT2 inhibitors, sulfonylureas, insulin, or GLP-1 agonists) before
