Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You have both MASLD (fatty liver disease) and type 2 diabetes
  • Your average blood sugar (HbA1c) is between 6.5% and 9%
  • Your liver stiffness measured by a special ultrasound (FibroScan) is 8 kPa or higher
  • You have not taken any diabetes medications besides metformin in the last 3 months, and your weight has not changed by more than 15% in the past month
