Who can take part

  • You must be 3 years old or younger.
  • A doctor must have diagnosed you with hydrocephalus.
  • You must be admitted to Penn State Health Children's Hospital for treatment, such as surgery to place a shunt or another procedure to drain fluid.
  • Your fontanelle (the soft spot on the top of the head) must be open and not blocked.
  • You must be stable enough for standard ultrasound tests.
