Who can take part
- You have a type of head and neck cancer (not nasopharyngeal) that is being treated with standard chemotherapy and radiation together.
- You are able to perform daily activities with some help (ECOG score 0-2).
- You do not have heart failure.
- You are not currently dependent on tube feeding or IV fluids for nutrition and hydration.
- You can safely stop taking diuretic medications (water pills) during treatment, if you take them.
