This trial tests whether a vitamin B12 supplement (mecobalamin) helps the nerve that controls your vocal cords recover faster after thyroid surgery. If you're having thyroid surgery, this could help reduce the chance of voice problems after the operation.
This study tests a device that monitors a nerve near your voice box during thyroid surgery. The goal is to help protect your voice by giving the surgeon live feedback on the nerve's location and function.
