Who can take part

  • Your baby has a Bochdalek type congenital diaphragmatic hernia
  • Born at 34 weeks of pregnancy or later, and less than 14 days old
  • Has both severely low oxygen levels (hypoxic respiratory failure) and high blood pressure in the lungs (pulmonary hypertension)
  • Does not have a serious heart defect that needs surgery or other treatment right after birth
  • Has not received any special lung blood vessel medicines, including inhaled nitric oxide, before this trial
