Tamibarotene for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction
This trial tests a new drug, tamibarotene, to see if it can improve symptoms and heart function in people with a type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but doesn't fill properly (called HFpEF). If you have stable heart failure with preserved pumping function, this study might help you manage your condition better.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.
Who can take part
- You have had heart failure for at least 12 weeks and currently have symptoms (like shortness of breath or tiredness), classified as class II to IV.
- Your heart's pumping function is normal or nearly normal (ejection fraction of 50% or more).
- A blood test shows a high level of NT-proBNP (300 or higher, or 600+ if you have atrial fibrillation).
- You have signs of heart structure changes (like an enlarged left atrium or thickened heart muscle), or you've been hospitalized for heart failure in the last year.
- You are on stable heart failure medications (like diuretics, SGLT2 inhibitors, or others) with no dose changes for at least 4 weeks.
- Your kidney function is adequate (eGFR of 30 or higher) and your blood pressure is controlled (not higher than 160/100 mmHg).

This trial tests a new medicine called finerenone to see if it can reduce heart scarring and improve heart function in people with a certain type of heart failure (preserved ejection fraction). If you qualify, you may help researchers learn if this treatment can help you feel better and stay out of the hospital.
This trial tests a new drug called HRS-1893 for people with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF). It aims to see if the drug can improve symptoms and quality of life.
This study tests an experimental medicine called NNC0537-1482 for people with heart failure. It aims to see if the medicine helps improve symptoms and heart function.
This trial tests an investigational drug for people with a type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but is stiff. The goal is to see if the drug can improve symptoms and quality of life.
This study tests an investigational drug called sotatercept for people who have a specific type of high blood pressure in the lungs that happens along with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (a stiff heart muscle). The treatment aims to improve your ability to be active and reduce symptoms, and the study will compare it to a placebo to see if it helps.
This trial tests a combination of three heart failure drugs (ARNI, SGLT2i, MRA) to see if they improve symptoms and outcomes in people with a type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but doesn't relax properly (HFpEF).
