Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older (or 12–17 years old if a minor can join)
- You have a known diagnosis of noncirrhotic portal hypertension, or a condition that can put you at risk
- If you can become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control (unless you’re menopausal or you’ve had a hysterectomy)
- You are not currently pregnant
- You do not have evidence of other liver diseases that usually lead to cirrhosis
