Who can take part
- You have a diagnosis of “certain ALS” or “likely ALS” based on established criteria
- You must be able to have a lumbar puncture (spinal tap) if you’re in the study groups that require it
- If you’re in the headache/neurology comparison group, you’re being evaluated for headaches or for a lumbar perfusion test
- You should not have autoimmune or chronic inflammatory diseases (if in the neurological or healthy control groups)
- For healthy control groups, you must have no known diseases and not take daily medications
