Who can take part

  • Be 18–95 years old and have type 1 or type 2 diabetes
  • Have a diabetic foot ulcer on the ankle or below that’s been there at least 3 months
  • Have an ulcer severity of Wagner grade 2 or higher and the wound area is at least 2 cm² after cleaning/debridement
  • Have enough blood flow to the foot (for example, ankle/brachial index above 0.5 or documented adequate circulation)
  • Be able and willing (you or your caregiver) to learn and do dressing changes during the study
  • Not currently pregnant (and use highly effective birth control if you could become pregnant)
