Seliciclib trial for Cushing disease from a pituitary tumor

This Phase 2 study tests seliciclib (also called R-roscovitine) in people with Cushing disease caused by a pituitary tumor and ongoing high cortisol levels. It may help reduce excess cortisol production in those whose Cushing disease has not fully gone away or has come back after standard treatment.

Who can take part

  • You must be age 18 or older.
  • Your Cushing disease must be confirmed as pituitary-related by hormone tests and scans (not adrenal or other causes).
  • Your urine cortisol (UFC) must be persistently high on two separate 24-hour tests (at least 1.5× the normal upper limit).
  • You are already being treated for Cushing disease, and any related medications must be stopped for the required “washout” time before screening.
  • You must have eye/vision checks that are stable and not show compression of the optic nerve/chiasm from the tumor.
  • Your heart, liver, kidneys, electrolytes, and diabetes must be in acceptable ranges (examples include potassium ≥3.5 and HbA1c ≤8%).
