Who can take part
- A doctor has diagnosed a disorder of consciousness or low awareness state (including minimally conscious or vegetative), or a clearly related low-awareness situation
- You are in the early (acute) or later (post-acute) stage where the team says testing is appropriate
- You are not taking medications that cause major tiredness or may worsen thinking/cognition
- You can complete testing in English as your first language
- You do not have uncontrolled brain conditions like uncontrolled seizures, progressive worsening brain disease, or severe pain that would affect brain recordings
- You can stay still enough for recording (no excessive uncontrollable arm/head movements or teeth grinding)
