Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older and able to give consent
- Be in the hospital for acute heart failure right now
- Be starting or recently adjusted on treatment for lung fluid using diuretics (water pills)
- Start treatment within 48 hours before the first dose (or the first increase) of diuretics
- Be able to safely have an MRI scan (no MRI safety contraindications)
- Not have moderate to severe dementia and be well enough to travel to the MRI scanner
