Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are well enough for daily activities (ECOG 0–1)
  • You have a confirmed, previously untreated early cancer on one vocal cord (stage 0 or I) in the voice box
  • Your team can reach the tumor through the mouth for laser surgery and can remove it with a safe buffer (about 2 mm) without crossing to the other cord
  • Your baseline voice tests are documented before starting treatment
  • You can safely handle both study treatments (surgery and radiation) and complete follow-up visits
