Who can take part

  • You have type 1 osteogenesis imperfecta (OI type I)
  • You are 18+ for the adult treatment or control parts, or age 6–17 for the child parts
  • For the adult treatment group: your hearing loss is at least mild on a hearing test (audiogram)
  • For the adult treatment group: your blood vitamin D level is above 30
  • You are not pregnant (pregnancy is not allowed)
  • You do not have a family history of hearing loss unrelated to OI or work-related noise
