Who can take part
- You have type 1 osteogenesis imperfecta (OI type I)
- You are 18+ for the adult treatment or control parts, or age 6–17 for the child parts
- For the adult treatment group: your hearing loss is at least mild on a hearing test (audiogram)
- For the adult treatment group: your blood vitamin D level is above 30
- You are not pregnant (pregnancy is not allowed)
- You do not have a family history of hearing loss unrelated to OI or work-related noise
