Who can take part
- Be age 55 or older (unless you have a known genetic form of the disease).
- Have been told you have cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA) that may be “possible,” “probable,” or “definite.”
- You must already have had at least one brain MRI scan for this study.
- Your case should fit the brain-scan definition for CAA used in the study (the modified Boston criteria).
- There should be no other explanation for brain bleeding (like a tumor, abnormal blood vessel, aneurysm, or cavernous angioma).
- You must be able to have MRI, and you cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding.
