  • You have been diagnosed with sepsis or septic shock (using SEPSIS-3 criteria)
  • You are 18 years of age or older
  • You can (or your legal representative can) give informed consent to join
  • You are enrolled within 24 hours of septic shock starting/being diagnosed
  • You do not have an immune system disorder from before (immunodeficiency)
