This study tests whether giving a different protein through tube feeding can help critically ill adults in the ICU. You may be eligible if you are already receiving nutrition through a stomach or gut tube and are on a breathing machine.

Who can take part
- You are an adult (age 18 or older).
- You must be receiving nutrition through a feeding tube (nose/throat, stomach tube like PEG, or a jejunostomy tube).
- You must be on a breathing machine in the ICU around day 4 to day 5.
- You should not be receiving any protein/nutrition through an IV in the ICU at screening (parenteral nutrition).
- In the first 4 ICU days, your average protein intake must not be more than 0.8 grams per kilogram per day.
- Not pregnant, not a burn patient, and not allergic to the protein supplement.
