Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You can receive nutrition through a feeding tube (no severe gut problems)
  • You are expected to need a breathing machine for at least 3 days
  • You are expected to stay in the ICU for at least 7 days
  • You do not have a spinal cord injury, severe allergies to certain proteins, severe organ failure, or a bleeding disorder
