Who can take part
- You have heart failure that needed (or currently needs) fluid pills (diuretics) and you have high BNP or NT-proBNP blood tests
- Your doctors suspect ATTR amyloidosis affecting the heart
- Your echocardiogram shows thick heart muscle (septum more than 12 mm)
- You can sign consent and use an acceptable birth-control method if needed
- You should not have end-stage symptoms (NYHA class IV) even with diuretics
- Your expected life span should be at least 6 months
