Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older (adult, fully grown bones)
  • Have long-lasting low-back pain from degenerative disc changes seen on MRI (Pfirrmann grade II–IV)
  • Have tried non-surgical treatments for at least 6 months without enough relief
  • Not have the more severe MRI stage (Pfirrmann grade V)
  • Not have certain back conditions on MRI or exam (like L5/S1 involvement or spondylolisthesis)
