Who can take part

  • You have no light perception or only bare light perception in both eyes
  • Your blindness started after you had normal or near-normal sight as a child, and you’ve been blind for at least one year
  • Your eye condition and exam match the study’s very specific vision limits (not certain exception cases like birth-long total no light)
  • Your brain scan (MRI) is normal, and you do not have metal implants or devices that block MRI (like a pacemaker)
  • You can join all study visits and agree to audio/video recording for pre-screening and consent
