Who can take part
- Your breast cancer is hormone-receptor positive (ER and/or PR) based on a lab test from tumor tissue.
- Your breast cancer is HER2-negative (it does not show HER2 overexpression on tumor testing).
- You have 15 or fewer brain metastases that can be treated with focused radiation (SRS) and are measurable on scans.
- The biggest intact brain tumor is 4 cm or smaller, and you can swallow and take pills by mouth.
- You can manage the study schedule and have a good enough day-to-day function (performance status 0 to 2).
- You can provide saved tumor tissue (or slides) for extra lab testing, or enrollment may still be possible if tissue can’t be obtained.
- If you’ve been treated with radiation before, you must still have measurable disease and it must not have already been treated with radiation in those areas.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and if you could become pregnant you can do pregnancy testing and reliable contraception during treatment and for 3 weeks after the last dose.
