Who can take part
- Be an adult (18 or older) with symptoms of a posterior circulation stroke from a basilar artery blockage
- Have symptoms (or worsening/drowsiness/coma) start within 24 hours of when you were last known well
- Have a scan (CT angiography or MR angiography) showing a basilar artery blockage that might be retrievable
- Be able to do daily activities before this stroke: pre-stroke mRS 3 or less (only minor help is okay)
- Have no bleeding in the brain on initial scans (no intracerebral hemorrhage or other major alternative cause)
- Be able to receive contrast imaging and follow local consent rules (and not be in another drug study)
