Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have persistent atrial fibrillation (AF).
  • Your AF symptom burden (how much it affects you) is not yet well known.
  • You do NOT have a known blood clot in the left atrial appendage (a clot risk area in the heart).
  • You have NOT had prior AF ablation by catheter or surgery.
  • You can take the usual blood thinners safely, and you do NOT have an allergy or medical reason you cannot take amiodarone.
