Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have persistent atrial fibrillation (AF).
- Your AF symptom burden (how much it affects you) is not yet well known.
- You do NOT have a known blood clot in the left atrial appendage (a clot risk area in the heart).
- You have NOT had prior AF ablation by catheter or surgery.
- You can take the usual blood thinners safely, and you do NOT have an allergy or medical reason you cannot take amiodarone.
