Who can take part

  • Be a live-born newborn with CDH (congenital diaphragmatic hernia)
  • CDH must be diagnosed before 1 month of age
  • The hernia must be the Bochdalek type (on the right or left side of the diaphragm)
  • Birth or transfer must happen within 1 week of life to a study hospital in the CDH Study Group
  • You must be able to receive inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) if needed
