Who can take part
- You are a man aged 40 to 60 (including 40 and 60).
- You are following the full muscle-building training season for middle-distance race performance at CREPS.
- You can safely complete the full training program and all tests, including MRI for muscle measurements.
- You do not have conditions that could affect breathing or muscle function (like major lung or heart disease, ongoing infection, certain nerve/muscle disorders, or major mood/mental health issues, or metabolic problems).
- You do not have bleeding problems or low platelets (issues that affect blood clotting).
- You are not using anabolic drugs to build muscle, are not suspected of doping, and are not allergic to xylocaine (a numbing medicine).
