Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and can sign consent yourself (or through a legal process).
  • You have atrial fibrillation (comes and goes or is constant).
  • Your stroke risk is high enough (CHA2DS2-VASc score of 2 or more).
  • You either cannot take blood thinners safely, or you have a high bleeding risk.
  • You must not have certain brain or nervous system conditions like dementia, Parkinson’s, or specific rare brain diseases.
  • You must not have major heart/heart-vessel problems that stop the procedure or make MRI/testing unsafe.
