Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have heart failure with reduced heart pumping (ejection fraction under 50%).
- If your ejection fraction is 36–50%, your blood test (BNP or NT-proBNP) must be at least a certain level and you should have an indication for an ICD (a heart rhythm device).
- Your ECG shows a narrow QRS pattern (QRS duration 110 milliseconds or less).
- You are able and willing to consent, and you are not currently pregnant.
- You have no other serious illness that is expected to limit life to under 1 year, and you have not had previous aortic valve surgery.
