Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You have a planned CABG and/or AVR (coronary bypass and/or aortic valve replacement) on your surgery schedule.
  • Your surgery must be done during normal scheduled hours (not “off hours”/urgent timing).
  • You must not be pregnant or breastfeeding, and pregnancy will be tested before randomization if you can become pregnant.
  • You can’t have certain active infections, like bacterial, viral, or fungal infection at screening.
  • You must be able to take the study medicines and not have specific safety problems (for example, severe liver disease, severe low blood counts, long QT heart rhythm problem, or narrow-angle glaucoma).
