Who can take part

  • You were born between 2014 and 2018.
  • As a newborn, you received whole-body cooling for a moderate or severe brain injury after birth.
  • Cooling started within the first 6 hours of life and continued for about 72 hours, with slow rewarming afterward.
  • You can take part in MRI scans (for example, no metal implants in your body and you can tolerate being in the scanner).
  • You do not have a history of congenital (inborn) infection.
  • You do not have a known genetic or metabolic disorder, and you do not have a major brain malformation.
