Azacitidine plus ruxolitinib for higher-risk MDS/MPN

Who can take part

  • You have a higher-risk diagnosis such as CMML, or another MDS/MPN type like aCML or MDS/MPN-U (based on specific risk scores).
  • Your blood counts must be: neutrophils at least 2.0 × 10^9/L and platelets at least 25 × 10^9/L.
  • You’re not a good candidate for a stem cell transplant (based on local standards).
  • Your bone marrow blasts must be at least 5% if you have MDS/MPN types other than CMML.
  • Your heart and organ tests must be safe (for example, heart pump strength on ultrasound at least 50%, and kidney/liver tests not too high).
  • You must be able to sign consent and have a good enough daily function level (ECOG 0–2).
