Study of hidden and open placebo effects in stroke recovery

Who can take part

  • You’re an adult (18 or older).
  • You have a long-term stroke (stroke happened 6 months or more ago) with arm weakness on one side (hemiparesis).
  • Your arm movement strength score on the Fugl-Meyer test is greater than 11 and 56 or below.
  • Before your stroke, you were not very disabled (Modified Rankin Scale score less than 3).
  • You can understand and follow study instructions.
