Who can take part

  • You are having a planned robotic partial nephrectomy (kidney-sparing surgery) at the University of Miami hospital network sites
  • You are age 18 to 99
  • You can understand the study and sign a written consent form
  • You do NOT have an allergy to NSAID pain medicines (like ibuprofen/naproxen)
  • You have no recent serious heart problems or prior heart bypass surgery
  • You can take part without certain bleeding-risk factors or other excluded conditions (see screening questions)
