Who can take part

  • You have had a kneecap that dislocated to the side (lateral dislocation) and now feels unstable
  • Your kneecap instability has not improved with non-surgical treatments (like physical therapy or braces)
  • You do not currently have active inflammation in the knee
  • You have not had previous surgery on the kneecap’s joint area (patellofemoral joint)
  • There are no fractures around your knee that would affect surgery or healing
