Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You had septic shock and needed medicine to raise your blood pressure for more than 24 hours.
- Your ICU stay was longer than 7 days.
- You have recovered from shock and are ready to leave the ICU.
- You are not pregnant or less than 6 months after giving birth.
- You do not have serious long-term illnesses like advanced kidney disease, liver disease, heart failure, or severe lung disease.
- You have not had previous problems with your pituitary gland or certain brain/nerve conditions.
- You have not taken high doses of steroids (more than 5 mg prednisolone daily) for more than 2 weeks in the last 6 months.
