Who can take part

  • You must be between 16 and 60 years old.
  • Your leukemia must have come back or not responded to 1 or 2 prior treatments.
  • If you had a stem cell transplant, you must not be on active treatment for graft-versus-host disease.
  • You must not have tried bortezomib before.
  • Your heart, liver, and kidneys must be working well enough (based on blood tests and heart function).
  • You must not have had severe allergic reactions to any drugs in the past.
