Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with cancer that has spread to your brain.
  • You have had a brain MRI in the past 2 months showing a brain tumor.
  • You are scheduled for brain surgery, focused radiation (radiosurgery), or whole brain radiation therapy.
  • You can lie still on your back for the PET/CT scan (about 30–60 minutes).
  • You have not had a brain biopsy or surgery on the tumor in the last 4 weeks.
