Who can take part

  • You have an abdominal aortic aneurysm that needs open surgery
  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are willing to follow the study procedures and attend all visits
  • You have not used a PCSK9 inhibitor (like Repatha or Praluent) in the last 6 months
  • Your LDL cholesterol is not too low (above 40 mg/dL)
  • You do not have certain other conditions like aortic dissection, connective tissue disorders, or inflammatory aneurysm
