PCSK9 Inhibitors for Large-Artery Stroke Recovery

Who can take part

  • Age 18–80 years old
  • Recent acute ischemic stroke (within 72 hours) confirmed by imaging and diagnosed as large-artery atherosclerosis type
  • Mild-to-moderate stroke severity (NIHSS score 4–20)
  • No severe heart, liver, or kidney disease
  • LDL cholesterol level of at least 1.8 mmol/L (about 70 mg/dL)
  • Never taken a PCSK9 inhibitor before
