Who can take part
- You have had a stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel in the brain (ischemic stroke).
- You arrived at the hospital within 9 hours of your first symptoms.
- Your doctors found a blockage in a large or medium blood vessel in your brain, using a special scan.
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You have not had a stroke or any bleeding in the brain within the last 3 months.
- You do not have dementia, and you were able to live independently before this stroke.
