Hyperbaric oxygen for ischemic stroke recovery

Acute Ischemic Stroke

Part of Brain & nervous system, Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This study tests whether hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) can help people recover after a recent ischemic stroke. It is open to stroke survivors admitted to Touro's inpatient rehab unit.

NCT07049692Recruiting
Hyperbaric oxygen after stroke clot removal study

This trial tests if hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) can help people recover better after having a stroke caused by a large clot in the front part of the brain. It is for people who recently had a clot removal procedure and have some remaining disability but are still awake and aware.

Hyperbaric oxygen after stroke clot removal treatment

This study tests whether hyperbaric oxygen therapy (breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber) can help recovery after emergency clot-removal surgery for large blood vessel strokes. The goal is to see if extra oxygen can reduce brain damage and improve outcomes.

Hyperbaric oxygen for traumatic brain injury recovery

This trial tests whether breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) helps people recover from traumatic brain injury. It aims to see if this treatment is safe and can improve healing for patients starting rehabilitation.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for post-stroke depression

This study tests if breathing pure oxygen in a special chamber (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) can help people who have been depressed since having a stroke. It may offer a new way to treat depression that hasn't improved with standard medications.

Hyperbaric oxygen treatment for severe traumatic brain injury

This Phase 2 trial studies whether breathing oxygen in a pressurized chamber can improve outcomes after a severe traumatic brain injury. It is mainly for people with very low consciousness levels soon after injury, with careful safety checks.

Extra Oxygen with Delayed Clot Removal for Stroke

This study tests whether giving extra oxygen (normobaric hyperoxia) along with standard clot-removal procedures helps people who have a stroke and are treated later than usual (6-24 hours after symptoms start). The goal is to improve recovery.
