Who can take part

  • You must be between 60 and 75 years old.
  • You must have a diagnosis of acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, or myelodysplastic syndrome that is not well controlled with standard treatments.
  • You must have a matching sibling or unrelated stem cell donor.
  • Your heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver must be working well enough to handle the transplant process.
  • You cannot have had a stem cell transplant before, and you must be able to stop other intensive cancer treatments for at least 2 weeks before starting.
