Who can take part

  • You have a type of blood cancer like acute myeloid leukemia (AML), acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), a pre-leukemia condition (MDS), or myelofibrosis (MF).
  • You are either 70 or older, OR between 18 and 69 and have high-risk disease (for example, your cancer has certain chromosome changes or it came back after treatment).
  • Your cancer cells show a marker called CD38 (this is checked with a lab test).
  • You have a brother, sister, or unrelated donor who matches your tissue type for stem cell donation.
  • You are active enough to take care of most daily tasks (Karnofsky score 70% or higher).
