Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older
- The cardiac arrest happened outside of a hospital
- The cardiac arrest was not caused by a traumatic injury (like a car accident or fall)
- You do not have a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order, and no one has asked to stop resuscitation
- You are not pregnant, and pregnancy is not suspected
- Paramedics were able to start an IV or IO line before you got to the hospital, and you did not receive epinephrine before the trial-trained paramedics arrived
